Yesterday when I came down to Sedge Meadow to my tipi, I pulled part of the plastic back off the open side to let myself bask in the sun. Now today the wind is cold and raw. It's good for my nose, anyway, letting me breath more easily.

I took off my coat and turned it around, put my feet in the hood and the wide bottom over my chest. It is nice and warm on all but my arms and neck, now.

the tipi looks pretty bad in this lighting. I'm looking forward to weaving it. All the tops of the poles are bent now, though. They've been through a lot with all my things I put on the outside of the tipi over the past four years.

I know what it needs, some christmas trees on this side so I can look through them at the white sky! They would also break the wind!
