I’ve just made a slipper out of birch bark! I have been working and working on it, tussling with the birch bark, pulling it through under the other layers.
I got so confused with the back and then the rim. I don’t like the way the back turned out; the back heel came up three diamonds, then they put us to work on the front over the rim. But then the sides didn’t seem to have a rim to go over. I think I should have understood the sides better.
I’m going to practice with the white plastic straps and with green ones. It’s good to be done with it. It’s only one of them, but at least it’s ready to go. It’s only five by two, just big enough for a large keychain!
