Grinding down kiln furniture at Mera on the porch
I'm at mera grinding down the kiln furniture. I've done quite a few that had kiln wash on them. No wonder Joanne never uses kiln wash! I guess she's been doing it all for so long that she knows just what to do to protect her shelves and posts!
I've got the grinder outside on the weaving studio porch on a step ladder on the porch. I keep bring up posts and grinding them down, then returning them to the pottery studio downstairs.
I am getting rather tired now, however. I think it's time to do something else. Perhaps I will try moving some willow to sedge meadow, or go get those tamarack trees and keep to the plan I had originally.
This grinding is an ongoing project that will take all summer, I imagine. These posts I have up here are pretty heavily encrusted with kiln wash on both the top and the bottom of the posts. I may end up putting these back for a later day.
