I went to Mera and went with them to pick wild leeks deep in the forest. BB sure knows his wildernesses! The wild leeks were from horizon to horizon, as much as is possible in a hilly forest, anyway!
I was so tired walking in, as it was 84F out there. 29C. I hear Daryl died! That was a couple of weeks ago. Cancer. I'm sorry he's gone.
I walked out of the woods ahead of the gang, cos I was too weary to walk fast enough to keep up with anyone.
However, I got out first and to my car and left. I'm at home cleaning myself up and putting the leeks in water. I'll plant some in our woods so perhaps I can find them taking over the woods in a few years!
I am quite tired and quite down. Too much working on the garden beds this week.
I should go back over to Mera and be with everyone and work on my weaving for awhile. I haven't woven for a long time.
I also want to cut out some of the torcheon patterns I photocopied yesterday.
Can I just stay here and relax? No place to lie in a hammock with these black flies around! How hot does it have to get to kill them all off? Just for the afternoon, mind.
I replaced my ribs on the antler basket with some grapevines. I've soaked the bulrushes a bit and they are wrapped in a towel at the moment in the car.
I still have groceries to take out of the car.
