Walked to the bridge and around on the stream

The snow had stopped and we'd had about 2.5". It's very packy. I wanted to experience it, so first I videoed from each of the windows, sortof the after set to comare with the before set.

I dropped the snow off the tempo tunnel carport, then walked on the lovely white packy snow down to the stream. It was so lovely. I walked along the flooding stream, uprighting the chairs as I went.

I saw a Common Merganser at the pond from the stream meadow. It was lovely. Just as I saw it, I also saw a black fisher bounding along the side of the pond to the foot bridge.

I watched the merganser for a long time, then went over to check on teh fisher tracks. It hadn't crossed the bridge, but gone into the stream. I didn't want to cross the bridge, cos the water was so deep under it, but I did.

I zoomed in on the tracks, which were narrower than I thought they'd be. Oh, I was mistaking them with otter tracks in my mind.

I didn't see anymore tracks, which is why I imagine he went into the water. The merganser was focused on him for quite awhile. Dangerous for him. Do fishers dive in and pull their prey down from below?

He flew away when I started walking. I was glad I had on my white camouflage coat so I could have a good look at him.

I carried on along the stream, staying to the cedar berm most of the time. The stream was flooded over to there about that far.

I went out through the willow patch and used the road to Pole Island, then to the bridge. I nearly got coated with slush as I walked and the trucks came along. Splat errrrrrr.

I enjoyed my walk home up the road as well.
