There are baskets that I want to make.
I brought home a magazine rack for the bathroom wall from the reuse center the other day. However, I don't want a plastic one, so I'm going to make the bulrush one that I started as a purse for it.
So I took a handful of rushes and held them into the shower to dampen them, then wrapped them in a towel. They now lie on the couch on the clean socks from the dryer.
I had to go to the car for the camera and noticed my grapevine and remembered that I want to make an antler basket. I need to start that, too.
Then of course, Vanessa's pine needles are calling to me. I located the big tapestry needles and brought in a small handful of daylily leaves.
So I am ready to do the rush wall basket in a few hours when the rushes soften. I'm ready to do the pine needle basket but I need to bring in that drinking straw from Wendy's I got last night so I can cut it into a short piece for making sure my pine needle amounts are correct.
Perhaps the antler should go on the pine needle basket. I'm not sure, though. I'd like it as a handle on a ribbed basket.
I need to measure and cut my birchbark strips for a project. You see, I spend so much time at home sitting in my chair answering comments that I don't do the things that I've been meaning to do.
So if I work a bit at getting the projects ready to do, then I will actually do them!
