As the first load of gravel goes on

I went over to Alida's and found the gravel truck man asking for directions. I drove in to the parking spot, then rode in with him, along with the laundry I'd done for Alida and Jean.

We got out and walked when we got to the pond area as he wasn't too sure about it.

Then when he knew it wasn't just a beaver dam, he went ahead and drove over it.

When we got to the beginning of their property, I asked him to dump a bit. We were very surprised to see Alida and Luis in a car coming towards us! How wonderful!

They had thought it was the government bringing gravel, but soon found out it was a birthday present for the three of them.

They were thrilled when he filled up the huge pothole that has always limited anyone being able to get past.

Alida was so thrilled, she was tossing it up in the air! Hahaha. I guess they've done a lot of digging and wheelbarrowing in the past!

When he ran out of gravel after filling the second large hole, I asked him to come back with another load. So he is going to. I guess it won't get all the way to the house but probably need a third load.

However, this one hole he's going to fill he said that the truck would probably tip over if he raises it up and then goes through it, so he's going to back up and drop the gravel in heaps that they can then shovel about.

We all drove out, each going our separate ways. I brought the bread dough along with me to make sure I could get it punched down and not have it turn out wrong. I did punch it down twice.

I have it in the oven baking now.
