Mowed the lawn, covered the mugs

I'm hot and worn out. I've been mowing the perennial slope around the echinesea and purple asters. There are a few of the yellow golden glow blooming. I like the ornamental grass at the bottom. It's taking hold so I'll have to keep a close eye on it.

I should really move a lot of gailardia and echinesea to the areas where there isn't anything of value growing, near the former gazebo area. That little gazebo was a nice place. It's too bad I had to take it down. I should put up another one one day.

So here I sit in front of the fan. Perhaps now I need to go to the lake and harvest those bulrushes! I'm certainly hot enough now!

It's overcast again and 102 in the sun. But it's cooler in the shade. Much. I covered up my mugs I threw this morning. I don't want them drying too fast and breaking apart. The wider the base, the more slowly it needs to dry out.
