Lovely riverside visit

I went down to the river. The neighbors had thrown a bunch of cut down trees onto the path. Argh. I wanted to go down there because of the reflection on the water from the house.

I was surprised at how difficult the path is that Mom and Dad always used. Perhaps they had a different one than what I knew about.

I was also amazed at how soft the sand by the river is, like it's been undercut by tunnels or something. Snake hole pathways? Eeek. These are deadly ones.

But no, probably just to do with the river flooding and depositing sand and the racoons and the deer with their pathway of tracks.

I never realized how nice a sandy white beach we had down there with our little bamboo shoots and all. Too many vines, eventhough they are quite little.

I filmed while I was down there. I really wanted to climb down and sit on the tree that hangs out over the river. I mustn't with my camera, however! Nope. Not a chance. Too old to be that stupid!
