I left while Willem was still asleep, heading to Deep River to have a look at the pottery equipment that she was selling.
I felt that there was something that I could be missing, so looked in my planner at the bottom of the hill. Lo and Behold, I had a meeting today! Sheesh. In Kingston of all places. It was a Relief Society Meeting.
So I reset my GPS to Kingston and headed through the hills south.
I made lots of videos on the way. Because the world was still wet, the trees were all black or dark. That meant that the birchbark stood out as very white in comparison. I was drawn to all the fallen birch trees. Most of them had large black scars on them, which would not be any good for my purposes.
I felt sure I could harvest a lot of good birch bark if I went down there with that as my purpose. However, there is probably just as much right here for me to gather!
I didn't know the theme of the meeting I would be attending, but since I love Relief Society so much, I knew it would be a good meeting.
