An excellent midnight walk/hike

May 13, 2009 23:22

Willem asked me if I'd like to go for a walk with him.

I did. I put on the coloured lights in the tempo and we headed out. The lights were all out at the neighbors across the road. Unusual!

We walked mostly in silence. It was a good walk. The stars were dim as the clouds were coming in for tomorrow's rainstorm.

We walked briskly. It felt good to use up my energy.

We walked to the 1km spot, turned around and headed back. At the turnaround, my heartbeat was 18 in 10sec.

When we'd climbed the hill and had arrived at the tempo, Willem again counted out ten seconds while I counted my pulse in the side of my neck under my jaw.

This time it was 27 in ten seconds! I have no idea how long it was that fast, perhaps a minute or so.

Anyway, it was good to see that I'd gotten it up to that speed in spite of the medications I take to slow it way down! Bonus!

heart attack, willem, night walking, walking, healthy body
