It was inevitable. My fingernails were packed with dirt and I was just plain in need of a shower or a bath.
I elected to have a bath outside in my Nancy’s Spa. I asked Willem to turn on the hot water tap beside his desk when I call from outside.
I brought along a bathrobe and a towel. The tub was, as usual recipient for some cedar leaves. I quickly wiped them out, then asked him to turn on the water.
I held the hose and let the hot water wash all the bits of things down and out the drain onto the astilbes which are looking very lovely this year.
I put in the plug, put in the hot water hose and got in. I washed my hair and rinsed it from the hose. I’ve never done that in there before. I always wait till the water runs cold, toss out the hose and then have a soaky bath.
But this worked well, I didn’t end up putting my head into soapy water!
The foliage around the bathtubs is looking wonderful. I do need to do some moving of plants, though. It’s such a shady area that the hostas are coming right along.
I will have to go out there and plant some nice plants that will flower for a long time. I’ll think about what they are. Gailardias are good like that.
I called to Willem when I was done with the water and he turned it off. I never come in right away, but I am on a time limit, so I let all that lovely soapy hot water out.
I love having my shampoo, creamrinse, soap, washcloth and tub pillow out there. I'm surprised the rain never knocked them over! We have had a lot of wind and rain.
I even have that O’lay in-shower body lotion in there. It smells like 5* Hotel resorts!
