I just saw a red-tailed hawk fly over with a long piece of grass dangling from its beak. Why bring it past so many more pieces of dry grass? Why not make the next from what is close by?
Something smells bad.
The water is receding now. I don’t want to walk to the tipi because I can’t get cold feet again.
I am just as glad that many people speed by here and take no notice of my island or my pole. It’s only on our property a few feet. I like having a place to sit like this, not only because I'm in nature, but because I'm also near the traffic.
I like meeting new people. I like it when they stop and get out and take photos of me.
I like learning about other people.
I think my face is thinner than it was before. That’s’ nice. I guess that’s the first place to lose weight!
I will go up to the house soon. Not for a few minutes, I guess, though.
I wonder if the boys have fixed the internet yet. I don’t really want to go up to the house because it is so heavy to pull my laptop or to carry it. I have these wheels, though, so I can do it now with no problem.
I don’t really want to leave here, though. I don’t want to miss anything. The sun feels so good on my face. I should probably turn myself around a bit so I can see better and feel the sun on both sides of my face.
I asked the elders to give CC a French copy of the Book of Mormon. Abey gave them her phone number. I aid to tell her I asked them to get it to her for me. So they will.
I wonder why these last three huge snowballs of snow haven’t melted yet. I suppose they are on the north side of a big root stump or something. That’s quite possible.
I’ve had a few mayflies land on me while I've been sitting here. When I first arrived a honey bee came around to sniff my hat again, too.
I moved my flowers so they are beside this pole island, planted down into the big gravel rocks.
I suppose this laptop will turn off soon.
