We have just left Lucas and Katie. We could hardly get a word in edgewise between Lucas talking to his mom, to say goodbye to them.

I had such a wonderful time with him. He’s such a nice little boy. He’s at such a wonderful age now. He calls me Grandma. It’s so sweet. I played with him the whole time!

I brought along bubbles and we played together with them on the balcony. That was really wonderful! I loved showing him how to blow them gently. He did a great job of it, too!

I brought my violin along as well. I let him play it a little bit. After supper I sat there and played it on the porch. He liked it and wanted me to wait for him to play. He was not too careful with it so I was hovering. The box for the rosin fell down off the balcony.

Lucas got it for me out of the other garden.

He brought his toys outside for playing with, too.

We also made forts out of sheets and chairs. He’d never done that before. We had a great time. He wanted me to go in his fort with him.

It made me feel so good when he called me Grandma! It was a wonderful thing to hear!

We watched Harry Potter, the goblet of fire. It was really good. It made me want to read the book again and to even read the next book.

I took a piece of spaghetti and broke off a tiny piece and showed Lucas how to chomp it in his teeth at the same time as he pretended to twist his nose. He was so cute showing Katie how he broke his nose!

But, now I really understand those other grandmothers that said that it was so nice to be able to go home and not have to stay and take care of the grandchild! How lovely!
