I went down the hill with Abey and confirmed with Richard that I had to have the fiddle all tuned up and ready to go and then he’d have about one minute to play it! Yup. He wanted to know what type it was. I said, ‘cheapo’.

I had my rope and scissors to mark the trees that Steven is going to cut when he has time to do it.

I first crossed the beaver bridge and started finding wide enough cedar trees I had to work on finding the thin enough trees for what I wanted. They were along the stream mostly. It was rather difficult to decide if I wanted to cut them down or not.

I had to walk through the water some of the time. There are many dead trees that have fallen over and were hard to walk across to get to the rest of them.

I kept tying the yellow rope around the tress. I don't want to de tree alongside the stream too much. I like having a bit of privacy there. I wandered back into the marsh woods as I tied them, finding only the straight thinner ones, which had to be pretty tall, too.

I came back towards the stream and found first three cedars in a pile, then another three and then another four near the entrance to the marsh woods pond.

I also would like the bridge, the big fat maple that Ben felled long ago, I'd like him to cut that one so it will lay flat on the water and not be holding on up on a stump.

I found the marsh woods sign on a cedar and decided to cut a lot of the trees around that area toward the marsh woods pond. That worked our really well, I found a couple done of them in that area, or maybe onl9y one dozen. I have no idea how many trees I tied.

Near the trees that are leaning across the stream, the leaning cedars at the beaver lodge. It looks pretty nice and dry there. Perhaps I can do a nice job of that over there. It’s the perfect spot of a sitting area and for a tipi shelter. It is a quiet part of the stream which is pretty deep at that spot. I'd like to work on perfecting that area for a little retreat.

I found the area where Daniel came down and helped me cut some poles down for my tipis at the lower pond. What a great job he did helping me with those four trees. It about killed both of us to do it all by hand, too!

This will be so much different to have help cutting them down! Ahhh. Wonderful.

I was also pleasantly surprised to find a hammock near those stumps. Having a hammock is a great thing, indeed! I turned it over and collapsed in it, exhausted from my travails in the water and the weeds and the fallen logs.

The beavers channeled through the tall grasses of that area, so when I walked and tried to stretch to walk over them I tripped and fell in. Twice. It was cold, but not burning cold like before. It was actually reasonably mild!

So as I had to go home, I went to the lower pond and slay in the hammock and had a drink of water from m y bottle I keep there and a handful of nuts from the other jar.

I was worn out.

By the time I got up to the house, I was so glad to be home. My three dresses I was wearing in layers where all soaked up to the knees.
