From my perspective (that is, the perspective of a caretaker of five year-olds whose parents are shocked at bumped knees and paper cuts), the real intrest here is the parents. I mean, way to go to parents who take their childrens' seriously stated needs and desires seriously. Way to go to parents making a real effort to be flexible for the benefit of their kid. Way to go, in short, for understanding that a first-grader is a person too.
It's 9pm. I'm knackered. Tomorrow is the last day of my first week with the Kindergarten Crocodiles. I'd forgotten how labor-intensive it all is.
