Happy birthday David Soul!
I wanted to post something special for his 72 birthday, but everything about him is specials so I've had a lot of trouble narrowing down my post.
David Soul, how do I love the, let me count the ways!( these are only a few, too many for one post.)
The song, Play me a song sweet Music Man, keeps running through my head this morning while I've been thinking about him.
But I think he's even more than that, he's a story teller a creator...
He was athletic.
And he loves horses.
He always looks good dressed up.
or undressed,
Youth and the color green looks good on him.
But a time worn David, has a beauty that to me is even more refined.
He could play flirty and sweet so well.
Or be pensive and driven,
Or sexy with a mustache and tight jeans.
He's so tough that with a 105 fever he can stand a greet the queen before he crashed and burned(literally), At every event I have ever seen him at he stays to the very end even if he is exhausted and hurting, he will not leave until he's given his fans everything he has and more.
He's a loyal and great friend.
He's good father even if he wasn't there all the time.
No one rocks a big leafy tent shirt like David, no one.
He has charisma oozing out of every pore on his body.
Maybe I love him because when he was so tired and I told him he could lean on me he just relaxed into me, he trusted me. Then he kissed me on the head and said, Thank you doll!
I could have made this post full of young pretty David, but my love started with his looks, but it has progressed to a much deeper love and respect for him that transcends more than outward beauty. I have always been drawn to people who have mental toughness. Who no matter what they suffer in life, no matter their sins, or their weaknesses, that they never give up. David is that man, he pulls himself up and keeps on living, I love that so much. He is a persever-er, an endur-er!
