We all have something we do when we're feeling down.
Usually, I'll eat ice cream and watch episodes of Friends.
Nowadays I've been eating chocolate and shopping. I've always liked shopping. Not to be a stereotypical girl, but it feels good when clothes fit and I can afford them. I'll usually buy one or two items and I'll usually do it once a month.
Unfortunately, I've been shopping too much lately. I spent over $500 on Black Friday (Friday after Thanksgiving), over $250 after Christmas, over $200 new years weekend, and almost $100 yesterday. Almost all of it is on myself. So I've got a whole new wardrobe of clothes now.
I does seem ridiculous, but shopping is a feel-good thing. I'm out of the house, away from school, and away from work. Walking about and looking for deals. I don't just buy random things, I buy things that are great deals (like a Ralph Lauren Polo blouse for $7). It just sucks when those credit card bills show up in the mail.
I need to stop. I need to find other ways to cope with my emotions other than over eating or over shopping.
