Is every city developing a ton of user groups and grass-roots meetings for creatives and/or geeks? Or is it just a Portland thing?

And do they all have a fixation on Thursdays?

Tomorrow, 11/12 I'd like to be in four places:
   Adobe InDesign User Group
   Adobe AfterEffects User Group (brand new)
   SIGGraph chapter meeting, showing computer animation
   RefreshPDX, with a web-vs-mobile UI talk by a Seattle-ite I know

Next Thursday, 11/19, I also need three clones plus me:
   Ignite Portland (once a quarter)
   Rich Internet Applications group
   WordPress group
   the author of Photoshop Artistry at the Color Mgt UG.

Of course, nothing on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday of either week. Sigh.
