2008 Christmas Card One - String of Lights

This card was made with dark green cardstock - One 5x7 piece and a smaller scrap for underneath the "Merry Christmas" stamp.  A 4x6 piece of glittery white paper (see enlarged picture for detail) was used as a second mat. A squiggly line was punched with a template and poker and sewn with green floss. I got the little flat-backed christmas lights out of a bargain bin of odds and ends at Michael's - they work great because the backs glued down just right with some glue dots and I sewed them into place with the floss too. I would worry about mailing this card because the lights are plastic but they stick up quite far - this might make mailing difficult so I think I will save these cards for friends that I can just give them to in person.

Supplies:
Dark Green Cardstock - Any brand wil do.
White glitter paper - DCWV - The Winter Mat Stack With Glitter
Stitching Template - Lasting Impressions Stitching Guide
Green Floss (I used 3 strands)
Christmas Lights - From Michael's Craft Store
"Merry Christmas" stamp -  By Inkadinkadoo
