Summary: Reid's older than Luke.
"Tell me about the golden days of yore, again," Luke said to Reid.
Reid rolled his eyes and ignored his husband. The fried chicken that Emma had passed to him was far more important than responding to Luke's cheerful goading.
"Are you longing to hear about specific golden days of yore?" Emma asked her grandson.
"Reid insists that there was once a magical time when a man named Steve Guttenberg was one of the biggest movie stars in the world," said Luke. "I've never even heard of the name so I'm pretty sure he's making it up."
"Steve Gutenberg was so funny!" exclaimed Lily who was trying to avoid watching Reid's . . .enthusiastic eating. "Not only was he in Three Men and a Baby but the Police Academy movies are really underrated."
"They are!" said Reid while waving a drumstick in the air. "Not every movie has to be all high-brow to be worthwhile."
"Of course, even the Gute couldn't save Can't Stop the Music," said Lily.
"You guys are totally making up these movies," accused Luke.
"No, we aren't," said Reid. "Can't Stop the Music was this movie with the disco group The Village People, the Olympian Bruce Jenner, and Valerie Perrine."
"You and my mom have the same cultural references," said an amused Luke.
"First of all, I'm pretty sure I saw Can't Stop the Music when it was rerun on television instead of at the Theater," huffed Reid. "Second of all, just because you're a fetus completely ignorant of pop culture before last year doesn't mean that I am old."
Reid realized that the statement he had just made might be considered offensive by Lily if she chose to interpret it as insinuating that she was old. Of course, he only realized that after Lily glared at him. Apparantly she had chosen to interpret it as his insinuating that she was old.
Reid sighed. "So do you have a favorite Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam song?" he asked as a peace offering of sorts.
Lily grinned. After an enthusiastic discussion of the worthiness of Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam, Reid and Lily started discussing Kool and the Gang and The Bangles. They both ignored Luke and Emma's amused smirks.
