had a great day / evening
1/ went to lunch with Jordan at El Monterrey's Harbison, used my discount card, ate up some yummy yummy spinach quesadilla.
2/ went to will and james' place for some NOISE TERROR DESTRUCTION WHILE IN WEIRD HEADGEAR! I played the organ, sang menacing songs about self-defense, played a wooden flute, played an accordion, and had an all around great time.
3/ went to MK's folks house for a lovely dinner, watched DH, the Simpsons, cried a little at extreme makeover home edition (what's new there? I hate that show because I sob like a baby EVERY Single Time. Come On! One big giant commercial for Sears.)
4/ registered for Slimdown Columbia, a very weightwatcher's approach, but free, and city wide, and 8 weeks long. So I'm doing it with MK's folks and some ladies from work, and then afterwards we're joining weightwatchers. I have to lose 15 pounds in 12 weeks and at least 10pts on my blood pressure.
Quitting smoking made me fat (well, because i could taste food and i replaced one bad habit with another) but i'm still glad i quit smoking, because i had high blood pressure then, too.
Jordan says to eat a tablespoon of cinnamon a day, it's medically proven to lower blood pressure. I love that type solution. Medicine is so creepy.
5/ I have a fucking busy week ahead of me at work.
6/ POLL: Should I go to grad school starting Fall 2006 or putt it off yet another year? I'm sure I'll have the same issues in Fall 2007. But I need other people's opinions, because MK and his parents and my parents and my cousin Eric haven't said a peep about that part. Nobody's offered any input, so now I'm ASKING for it. I know they want me to decide on my own, because it's very personal. And I also know that nobody but Eric has any experience with this whole grad school thing. It's as foreign to them as it is to me. So, please, people, offer advice. I need it.
7/ Gabe, Gabe, wherever you are, we need to get together. I'll be calling you this week. Hope you had fun in ole San Fran Cisco. Did you arrange to see Ben and our old friend JoJo?
