It's time! :D
The generic prompt is warmth, so if you can't find any prompt which specifically appeals to you, anything with that theme is also allowed.
Community members/observers: reply to this post with your Yuletide prompts, which can be holiday-themed or not. Nancy/Ned will be assumed unless otherwise stated. If you have a preferred rating (if you'd rather a fic be PG-13 or under, for example, or definitely rated NC-17) or a preferred format (if you'd like icon batches or a fanmix, for example), please indicate that in your prompt. If you do not have a LiveJournal or OpenID account, you can email me with your prompts: nancydrewnickerson at yahoo dot com. I'll post them as a reply to this entry. Again, these are just suggestions.
Since this isn't a fic/art exchange, anyone is invited to participate. You can suggest prompts even if you will not be writing or creating content; you can write fic or create art in response to prompts even if you didn't suggest any, or even if you've never written/created content (or written in this fandom) before.
For authors/creators: A suggested rating for a prompt should be considered as such, and isn't a requirement. Fanfic/fanart/etc written for this exchange can be posted anywhere (here, on your personal LJ,
tumblr,
AO3,
FFN, YouTube or file sharing sites, wherever) as long as you post here using the header below, and include a link to your fic/art/content. If you include a link to your creation instead of posting it here, the linked creation cannot be behind a friends-lock; if your fic or creation is rated R or NC-17, please friends-lock the post when you make it here. Your story or creation must be new and created specifically for this challenge; I don't mind if you also use prompts from other challenges (porn battles, bingo cards, etc) as well.
Content should be posted between December 20 and December 31, although any unfilled prompts will most likely be put on the 2015 prompts list, so this deadline is by no means strict.
Fics: Minimum word count is 1000 words, with no maximum word count. Story may be a part of an already-existing series, as long as the fic written for yuletide is its own entity (as in, not a chapter in an ongoing story, but a standalone part of an existing series is okay).
Icon batches: Should contain a minimum of five icons, maximum of ten icons, obeying LJ icon formatting rules as necessary. If you want to include variations of your icons which would be appropriate for other platforms, that's all right too.
Fanmixes: Should contain a minimum of seven songs.
Wallpaper/Desktop pictures: Should be available in standard formats and hosted on your own space, and linked here.
Fanart: Should be hosted on your own space, and linked here.
No, you don't need to claim prompts unless you wish to do so. Prompts may be claimed/filled by more than one person.
If you write a fic or create content for this challenge but you aren't a member of this community or you don't have posting access, fill out the header and include it and a link to your fic/creation (or the fic/content itself if appropriate), and send the information to me in an email: nancydrewnickerson at yahoo dot com. I'll be able to post it here and credit you as the author.

Suggested prompts:
1-Nancy's working at an agency as an investigator; Ned is an IT specialist employed by her company, and one Friday night, the network goes down while Nancy desperately needs it and Ned's on call. (Maybe they've noticed each other before, but never had the chance to really talk; maybe the air conditioner's also broken; maybe he invites her out for a drink later... whatever the scenario, this should definitely end with the two of them naked and wrapped around each other.)
2-Nancy and Ned attend the first Christmas play their child has a part in (possibly as the baby in the Nativity scene, if he or she is young enough).
3-Nancy and Ned, as newlyweds, buy a somewhat shabby and in need of TLC foreclosed Victorian mansion and work on restoring it in time for the holidays - and stumble onto a few mysterious occurrences themselves.
4- Because of a last minute work emergency, Ned has to bring their child(ren) into the office with him and pull double-duty working and keeping an eye on his child(ren).
5- A snowstorm leaves Nancy stranded at the Nickerson's home early in their relationship.
6- While out Christmas shopping, Nancy meets Ned, who is in the middle of his own unsuccessful shopping. When he finds out she's a detective he jokingly asks if she'll help him figure out the perfect gift, and to his surprise, she agrees.
7- James is having a hard time selling a particular property because it has a haunted reputation. After he asks Nancy to investigate, she and Ned camp out at the house for a night.
8- When the power goes out at their house, Nancy and Ned have to find ways to keep each other warm.
9- After Nancy comes extremely close to dying, she realizes she wants to take the next step with Ned. Up to you what the "next step" is-- marriage, sex, etc.
10- Nancy gets jealous after Ned is partnered with another girl in his home ec. class for a "real world" project that involves learning about choosing a career, budgeting, marriage, etc.
11- Nancy is temporarily blinded after an injury during a case and Ned helps her through it. Bonus points for Ned being the first thing she sees when she regains her sight.
12- Nancy and Ned find a baby on their doorstep with a note asking for Nancy's help. While trying to track down the baby's mother, she and Ned bond with the baby, and ultimately Nancy realizes she's ready to start a family with Ned.
13- Nancy & Ned chaperone their child's winter dance.
14- the first holiday dinner Nancy and Ned host for their families after getting married
15- Nancy goes into labor in the middle of a blizzard and Ned has to deliver their baby.
16- Nancy goes undercover as a waitress at the bar Ned's working at for the summer as a bartender. She knows she needs to keep everyone a suspect, but she can't deny the attraction she feels when she's around--and the guilt of not telling him who she really is. Your choice if she tells him the truth and asks for his help or continues to lie and hopes he'll understand later.
17- Nancy/James or Ned/James bonding...or both!
18- ( very ) AU: Nancy and Ned as a Bonnie and Clyde couple
19- An intern at Carson's firm, Ned is immediately drawn to Nancy, but afraid of Carson's reaction if he makes a move.
20- An investigation leads Nancy to attend an Omega Chi party undercover
21- Nancy's first ( overwhelming ) time at a huge Nickerson family reunion
22- Nancy and Ned sending their child off to Emerson
