Wake Up, Break Out!

Last night was "Wake Up, Break Out!" and it was AWESOME!! We went to Workplay at 2:oo to set up, went to Pete's Famous Hotdogs (which was really good), and then went back to help set up. We got to watch the bands do their sound checks and we snooped around backstage. The doors opened at 5:00 and more people came than expected. We were SOLD OUT!! A bunch of people came and surprised us like Rehema, Jeffrey Harper, Skye from Gulftreat... it was so fun! All the bands were great. First was Paul Wright. He played for like 30 seconds and then broke a string, but then everything else went fine. Hazey Crazey went after him and all the IPC girls went CRAZEY to "Lost in the Supermarket" and "Romeo and Juliet"- so cute! Then was Michael Warren. He was really good. Then... NEED TO BREATHE!!!! Everyone came up to the stage for them. They played a bunch of songs from their new CD, which I can't wait for to come out!! Needtobreathe was the best!! then was STIS. Next was a great duo called Monk & Neagle. They sing "Dancing with Angels," which everyone loved, especially Ann Watford who is going to marry one of them. Last but nopt least was Mat Kearney, who Gena and I interviewed. He was really nice. He did an awesome job. After Mat Kearney we cleaned up and went home. The night was a MAJOR success. We made lots of money for the new camp and had a great time. Next year will be even better!
So... after staying up all night I slept today until 3:30. So now I am very well rested for the first day of school tomorrow. It will be fun to see everyone again but I wish summer was just a little longer. What ever happened to school starting after Labor Day?
