Fantastic! First one off the bat and it was great.

I loved Mica's statements at the beginning - it's amazing when you see things through a child's thoughts.

I do quite enjoy post-apocalyptic tales...even if we do see much loved characters die because while it may take some time for things to settle, there is always a light uop ahead.

Thanks so much! :) There's a kind of thrill about post-apocalyptic stories, isn't there, because you are really don't know who's going to make it. (I have a seven year old and an eight year old. Most of Mica's characterization is drawn directly from then, and yeah, it's always fascinating what they see.)
