Did you ever TRY taping around a bath tub with never fail tub-surround tape?Remember that - "never fail"..... I was so proud of the job I did last week after buying some of this never fail tape from Regal, instead of using that silicone stuff - messy, messy. Well, the @#%$# tape came off after the first shower! So, I was told about a smaller tube of silicone that was much easier to work with than the bigger tubes and I bought stronger (and wider) tape to go around the tub.. The silicone was for the corners that were in an accordian configuration as the tub -a-round was all in one piece. So I siliconed the corners first then put the new, wider tape around the tub but when I went back to look at it again, the lower portion of the tape wasn't sticking!!!! but the upper part did! What to do? Did what anyone would do and slipped the tip of the tube of silicone under the LOOSE tape then pressed on it and hoped it would now stick like crazy glue. It remains to be seen..... In the meantime, on to the next project.....
