And here is a ficlet from a series I had picked up recently:
Title: Per Saeculorum
Rating: G
Genre: Sap.
Fandom: Kuroshitsuji/Black Butler
Characters: Madame Red, Vincent Phantomhive
Disclaimer: I do not own Black Butler and do not make any profit from this fic.
Summary: Come her wedding day, so many loose ends need picked up. The air must be cleared before she gave away her last name.

Ann hated red so very much.
But, because of that man, she came to love her red hair...and she came to love red in the same way that her beloved had loved it, wearing red the day of his wedding.
Dammit, why did he have to choose her sister?
Now here she was, looking in the mirror, and staring at her reflection. It was her turn to wear white, despite the lie that it presented. She was sure that everyone in the church was expecting her to be wearing red, perhaps blue...but not the color she was wearing now, not some sort of sign of purity.
Rachel finished the plait that she had been working on, pulling it to the front with its twin, a blue velvet ribbon tied at her breast, before she went to put on the bridal veil. "My adorable little sister is so beautiful today."
Ann blushed, checking to make sure that her hair was perfectly in place before the lace found its way to her head. "Rachel..."
"You look beautiful."
The young bride jumped, spinning to see her first love in the doorway of her bridal chamber. Suddenly, as usual, everything went still aside from the beating of her heart in her chest. All that existed was just Vincent and herself, even as he asked Rachel to let them have a moment and her sister disappeared into the hallway.
He stood there for a while before he finally smiled at her and closed the door. "You do look beautiful, Ann."
"Vincent..."
He walked up to her, taking her left hand in his right. "How long has it been since the last time we've been without your sister, Ann? I get to see her all the time, but I never see you anymore."
"...That's because I'm getting married, Vin...Vincent..."
"I'm well aware of it, Ann..." He didn't want to be so aware of it, it showed in his dark eyes. "I can't say that I approve of your choice in this matter, but..."
Ann nodded, stepping off of her stool, letting him support her as she did so. "But this isn't your choice. I am a grown woman and deserve to choose how I spend the rest of my life."
"Of course, Ann. How goes medical school?"
"I just graduated this June."
He laughed. "Of course."
She looked up, red eyes meeting brown. "You weren't there, Vincent. You never are anymore."
There, that finally got a spark in what appeared to be nearly dead eyes. She had merely twisted a knife, not planted it. "You know my business keeps me busy..."
"I understand all too well."
"Ann, don't be this way. It's your wedding day, a time for romanticism to come alive and then you shall never have to give into your cynicism again."
If only it worked like that, then maybe Ann would be able to protect her heart from the man who stood in front of her.
"How do you intend to keep me, your wife, your company, your hidden workings, and a child, Vincent? You know that Rachel is so far along that you need to start thinking like a man and not a boy."
"That's why I've been so busy, Ann," Vincent replied. "I don't wish to leave any loose ends unravelled so the three -- four of us can live a happy life."
"I can't wait that long, Vincent," Ann shot back. "I'm not one of the wallflowers of the ball that will shrink back and watch you, hoping you will smile and approach. No, shrinking violets have never been your kind of girl."
"You're wrong, Ann." He brought her left hand to his chest, and she could feel his heart underneath. "You know how much you and your sister mean to me...what I mean is that..." He sighed. "...I'm not as good with words as you are, Ann. You've always been my sweet heart, and you know that, should this not work out...I will always welcome you in the Phantomhive manor."
Ann laughed, not bitterly, arms going around her first love's waist. "What is the real reason you've come back here, Vincent? You aren't this naive."
He ran a hand through his dark blue hair with a sigh. "I noticed you lack your something borrowed." He dug through his pockets before he came across what he was looking for, a lovely cameo necklace, velvet ribbon for its chain, and slipped it on his sister-in-law, clasping it as she looked in the mirror in awe.
"It was my mother's. I think it suits you more than it would ever suit Rachel."
Ann turned to look up at that man again, blinking when his lips crossed over hers. Yes, it was customary to kiss the bride, and his lips had locked hers in a chaste kiss, but...the spark was still there.
He pulled his lips away, fixing a misguided gather in her dress. "Be happy, Ann. Make that man as happy as you have made me."
She blinked. "I have your blessing?"
"You don't need my blessing. All I want to see is, for once in her life, Ann to smile and be genuinely happy." He offered her his smile, guiding her out of the room. "Now come along. Baron Kelvin is among those who had shown up, so stick close to your husband lest he be so enamored that he try to steal you away."
And for once, Ann was laughing.
