Yarrgggghhh an update
So it’s been a bit over a month since I updated… a month and a half I think, if you don’t count the random videos and shiz. So here goes, hang on tight.
I work with a fellow called Grant, an awesome guy. He and his wife own a farm about an hour out of Stanthorpe. Amanda and I went and visited for the weekend and had the BEST time ever!!! We rode around hundreds of acres on quad bikes, we shot pimp action and bolt action rifles, Amanda shot a lever action shotgun (like in terminator2). I quite fancy the idea of me with a rifle, and I’m not that bad :P We went night spotting for foxes and pigs. Fed all the cows and vaccinated them in the crush. So it was all very exciting =D Grant wants us to come back soon and we’re keen as hell so that should be grand.
The next weekend was Paul and Rose’s wedding. Nawwwww they all looked so pretty =) It was a good night and I got a little intoxicated hahahaha I’ll post photos soon.
My car is being a complete shitbox at the moment. I got it serviced - that was fine. $140. It overheated on the Ipswich Motorway and I went through 6 litres of water in 2 days. Another $170 to get that fixed (I split a heater tap) Then I found out all the shit that was wrong with my car. My brakes were so worn out that not only did they have to replace my break pads but they had to relace the metal part behind it, they were too worn to do anything about - another $500. I have completely bald tyres and the suspension is so crappy it needs some serious work. I need my timing belt and all the stuff around it replaced. Yay. *rolls eyes*
The weekend after the farm Amanda and I went to the Yatala drive in. there was a rock and roll night on, all the old cars, rock and roll dancing and rockabilly music. I love drive-ins!!! I haven’t been to one since I was a little kid. It was completely packed, a really good atmosphere. We watched I now pronounce you Chuck and Larry and Rush Hour 3.
Weekend after that was Bliss and Brett’s birthdays on the same night. We went to hogs breath for dinner with Bliss and then over to Brett’s house afterwards.
A couple of nights later it was the Linkin Park concert. It was pretty darn good! I met up with my boss Tim before it, he was so smashed hahahaha it was funny. Oh well, clearly I’ve got a cooler boss than anyone =P considering he was drunk at a Linkin Park concert covered in tats and a bandana on his head bahahaha. Love it. We took the next 2 days off work so we could just bum around together, it was nice =)
Jacaranda festival was on the Saturday night just gone. I didn’t get to go to the ekka so it was good, rides, fairy floss, show bags and some hella awesome fireworks!!! We went to that instead of the Halloween party we’d planned on going to. We had a diner with Amanda’s family before it so we couldn’t go to the party.
Amanda finally got her bike fixed and back to her but the clutch is crazy tights and she cant ride it properly because of it and it wont go over 110. so I suppose she’ll do something about that. She dressed me up in her bike gear and took a photo of me on her bike hahahaha so I’ll post that when she sends me a copy! And that brings us up to date =) stay tuned.
