what I learned this weekend
1) an old friend from the left coast has been diagnosed with Stage-3 lung cancer. He has a wife and two lovely daughters and is not expected to live out the year.
2) Danny Plotnik rocks the mike and makes me happy when he sings BooB songs.
3) NPR played a Moossa song last night (Althea) and, although it wasn't a song with me singing, it still made me happy. Until the dog punched me in the eye with his nose. ow.
4) quitting smoking is as expensive as smoking. True, the health benefits are far superior, but the money they get out of you is stoopid. $27.00 for a SMALL box of nicorette gum?!?!? Jeezus!
5) cookies and coffee for breakfast is better than cigarettes.
