FRANKFEST - A BENEFIT FOR A FRIEND
Frank Jackson, Richmond, Va. guitar hero, was in a work related accident in November leaving him with a shattered elbow and a broken humerus in his left arm, both compound fractures. He does not have any health insurance and is not being offered workman's comp. He spent a week in the hospital and has undergone three surgeries as of this writing. Luckily, there was no nerve damage and, with rehabilitation, he should be able to play guitar again sometime in the early new year. However, his arm and its range of motion will never be the same. He's slowly recovering and in good spirits, but has been left with exorbitant medical bills and no money to pay them. That's where we need your help.
On January 5th, 2007, there will be a benefit held in Frank Jackson's name at the Canal Club in Richmond, VA. The cover is $10 at the door with donation buckets inside, should you feel the need to contribute further. All proceeds go directly to Frank Jackson. Doors are open at 7:00 PM and music begins promptly at 8 PM. In an effort draw as many people as possible, several Richmond bands have graciously donated their time, the schedule is below. We hope to see you at the show and appreciate any support that you can offer.
