Moossa in Beaufort
Oh man!! Just got back from Beaufort, NC and a great New Year's Eve weekend gig with Moossa at the Backstreet pub. The crowds were great, a little lighter on Saturday, but Sunday, after a slow start-up, turned out to be a rocking party! The weekend was really nice down south. Temperate, warm even, and breezy. Tard and Miss G joined the gang and Miss G applied her special talents to make my face look pretty. Or prettier than normal. My personal make-up goddess! Yay me! and Yay! Miss G!!
Bogart stayed the weekend (actually, at this point, is STILL staying) at a doggie daycare/boarding facility in Ashland. It's called Four Paws. They seem really nice, and I'm going to pick him up tomorrow morning, first thing. Oh, how I miss him now, though. It's craptastic to come home to no wiggling, dancing doggie happiness. The house was just dark and cold. And, to top it off, the traps I had so cunningly set had only yielded one mouse carcass. The other two were unsprung and the bait had been eaten off of them. Crafty buggers. I'll get you yet!
I was hoping to have some pictures to load up at this point, but there has been a slight technical error on the end which actually has the pictures. As soon as I get them, though, I'll share.
There are new Moossa shows coming up soon. On Friday, January 5, we're playing at the Canal Club with The Big Payback and the DJ Williams Projekt (I hate that they spell it incorrectly on purpose). Moossa will be going on early - about 8 PM - so for those of you who wanted to see us play, and needed a weekend show, here's your chance! We're also playing at Cafe Diem on Saturday, January 6th. We're going to be updating the website with some new info and a new group picture. And we're looking forward to recording again soon. We already have a good chunk of new material to lay down, so we're all pretty excited.
I hope all your collective New Year celebrations were joyful and lacked any drama or injury (hangovers aside). Here's to making 2007 a year filled with music!
