Adventures in Baby Food

Today Emma had her first veggie... green beans.

First we started off with her typical oatmeal, and she ate all that, ate her bottle, while we sat at the dinner table (dinner on table), waiting for Chris (who was 1 hour late).

After I was finished, I gave Emma a little taste of green beans. It was Gerber, because I haven't gotten my baby food making together yet (but I will!)

At first she gave me the "what the heck is this" look, but after she realized it was food, and it was good, she ate a little more. I didn't want to stuff the poor baby since she got finished eating an ounce of oatmeal and a 6 ounce bottle, but she probably ate a good 1/4 ounce. Most of it ended up in her belly.

One thing I discovered today is Emma likes her oatmeal thicker than what I've been making it. I was making it a little thinner than applesauce, and she was not having it, but when I thickened it up, she ate it all. Go Emma!

In other Emma news, she has discovered her tongue. She's constantly sticking it out, and she can stick it out pretty far. I can touch my tongue to my nose and I have a feeling Emma has inherited that ability.

Tomorrow is Friday! I'm happy because Chris doesn't have to work Saturday or Sunday so we can get a little family time together. I look forward to that! Have a great night!!!
