Gorgeous moon on Friday (heck, gorgeous tonight all big and bright and yellowy and low early in the evening practically sitting on top of the dunes like the golden egg of some crazy big seagull) so we artwalked Friday night which was pretty fun and the air was so nice out and the moon had everyone in a rowdy good mood with tons of bands playing all along king st. No rituals of any sort but I did bundle some sage smudges and burned one to shoo imaginary imps away from the corners of my sight. Saturday, as no one wanted to see Carmen with me (that's okay I'm renting both the ballet and the opera from Netflix and I can watch them in peace with Ben and Jerry) I saw Shakespeare Abridged with friends. HAHA so funny. Do some of you remember Alicia's obsession with the RSC BBC tape she'd play all the time? And most of us knew a good many lines after a while... heard most of them in the show, I guess they'd based their script on it. Todd was funny, I'd forgotten how jovial he can be when I'm not in fear of his wrath for not doing my homework. And today we got gaufres (Polish waffles) downtown which are always decadent and delicious, bought some last minute camping goods before Magnolia Festival (19th-22nd), and went to Greek Festival down the road at the amphitheater. Some how, I'd never made it over there before but the music was great (I bought a cd of the band that was playing), it was funny to watch whities try to poorly greek dance but alas I did not try I had Tzaziki sauce on my hands and Eric wouldn't dance with me anyway. And I had something called Kata Iffi which tastes like Baklava only less dense more flaky and crispy. I am officially over Mexican, over Seafood, and completely obsessed with Greek food. A good weekend was had by me. But another thing... when are people coming up? I've been confused. This coming weekend, the 14th? or while I'm gone (dammit)?
