subjectivism: Comment on this post saying you want to play and I'll give you five things I associate with you/want to know more about. Then you post them in your journal & elaborate.
What
subjectivism gave me:
living in Europe: (un)Funny thing, I did a contest entry for an European comics competition about "Being a European Citizen" but I still have no clue of what that is. Guess we have mobility and freedom of speech... The thing is, depends on the country, but I think it's alright here - given the fact that I have no other data to compare. And people are usually polite. Oh, Football and Christianity rules this place, which brings me to the next point.
religion: I will start by saying that I am baptized and I actually tried to understand Religion (in this case, Christianity). Something I strikingly remember is wondering, as the priest did that water thing, if this god actually existed and why would people do all this rituals if he didn't? 2 months after being baptized I never went to church again - voluntarily. I might have "evil in my heart", huh, yea. Ok. But for me (I know that my opinion is next to zero), the bible and the christian doctrine, in its essence, faulty and too human to worship. But religion=!god.
I like the God by Descartes, somehow, but I don't think I can be considered religious.
childhood: Well, it consisted in following my brother around topless because I thought I was a boy. Oh fun times, I could just strip in the middle of the beach and run around. Oh dang, I just sounded slutty... Anyway, childhood was dragon ball figures, PlayStation 1, football, Pokemon cards, Harry Potter novels oh and wait, my butler, who was this guy on 4th grade that actually CALLED ME MASTER.
It was awesome. I was so gangsta. And I also took ballet. PLOT TWIST. And dreaming about becoming an artist or a robot builder. Which is funny because that's what I still want to be.
favourite band: Hard to say. According to my Last.Fm, it's probably between Regina Spektor, Radiohead, God is an Astronaut or John Zorn... I have no idea. There was a time that I would instantly say NIRVANA, then sulk and proceed to cut my wrists but this is no longer the case. I listen to mostly everything. Man, this is probably the hardest question, next to "what's your favourite film."...
But coming to the scenario in which I needed to choose one band to listen for the rest of my life, I would probably choose Philip Glass because it would make my life sound like a terror film.
parents: They don't get along. I would suggest a divorce if only my mother had enough money and Portuguese language knowledge to live on her own. It's like watching two human beings living on the same house without acknowledging or respecting each others' existence. They used to fight but now they just curse at each other. But I guess every family has it's own dysfunctional slice. I try to get along with them but as for parenting skill, I learned that learning on your own is alright.
