Break in the country by the lakes, and mother leaves, 25-30 May.
Ciocia Lusia and Wujek Tomek’s cabin; a photo from my mother’s camera, Ciocia Lusia and I on a walk with Dziunia the dog.
We came back from the walk about five minutes after setting out…
… because the sky looked like this and Dziunia is very afraid of storms.
So she hid in the shower. Poor baby.
The weather cleared up the next day, so we went for a walk to where Wujek keeps his boat.
Mama and I, of course.
Ciocia, Wujek and the boat; Mama and Ciocia.
Wujek and his old-time buddy Andrzej by the boat, which was still in the production stages.
Randomly, then the Widelskis showed up.
The ladies chatted and then we all sat around in the sun. There was barely anyone else around, although there was some waterskiing going on by the lake.
The Widelskis came back to the cabin for a drink…
Mama; Wujek.
Then there was some napping to be done.
In the late afternoon after dinner, the sisters were going to go for a walk with Dziunia…
… but she wasn’t into the idea, so they headed off by themselves.
And that concluded that day. In the morning, the girls went for a walk.
And that was pretty much our stay in Popowo.
On the 29th of May, Mama flew out.
… and in that time, I caught a train to Lodz for a couple days of work.
It was great to see Mama, as it made the time here seem shorter and more like home.
And that was pretty much all of May. Then, oh glory, came June. Continued!
