Hawaii : Part 1
Ok so I have been trying for days to upload my pictures to the internet and not only has Photobucked failed me, but this Imageshack deal sucks too. I had been planning on releasing all the juicy stuff in order but since that's out the window I decided to start with what I know you actually care about. That is, The one and only MRE!
I actually had to change my tickets and get a room in a different hotel down in Honolulu (my mom and I stayed mostly up on the North Shore) and, well do a LOT of juggling around to attend the HIFF Lost event. They actually had master classes going on all morning but I only attended the afternoon event, where Cuse and Lindelof were awarded for their impact on Hawaii's film industry blablabla.
We got there early, after I had a nervous attack and started screaming at my mom 'cause she was still NOT ready 30 mins before the start of the event. Granted, we were like 5 mins away from the Theatre were it was gonna take place but come on....ITS MRE!Hello!? Saw Ryan from the Transmission podcast, said hi and prob. freaked him out (he looked at me like WTF are you?), took pics of all the LOST auction goodies they had on display (IM SO TAKING SOME OF THOSE HOME!!!!lol delusional much?) and rushed to my seat. Had great place, if a bit far from stage, but sat next to some fellow LOST fans and had a nice chat about filming locations, cast sightings, spoilers etc. All the while my mom was like "well, you certainly fit right in!" lol
Then some critic guy (ok, a BIG deal critic guy) came out to MC the event and then Cuse and Lindelof took to the stage and I just lost it hehehe. Took mostly videos which I will try to get on the damn www asap but I managed to get some pics too. Just let me say this. MRE is beyond exceptional. The way the man carries himself, his voice, his movements...he's just....breathtaking. I mean my mom was a full blown "BEN IS CREEPY AND SO IS MRE HOW CAN YOU FIND HIM ATTRACTIVE!?". Now, after sharing breathing air with the man for an hour, she's all praise and admiration "What elegance!How charming!".
He actually looked even hotter than in some dark suits he's worn and the Lei was just adorable on him. Also note he was the only one in a suit. So damn elegant! In the end, as they left the stage, and following a mention from said critic during event that he'd won Emmy, I screamed at him! "Michael, Congratulations! We love you!"
He seemes a bit lost and I suspect aince he was not wearing his sex glasses he did no see who had shouted clearly, but I hope think
he heard me.
Anyways, I was up high for days after that, and even though I did not get to speak to The Man directly I know for sure I will follow MRE in all his future endeavors and will try my damn hardest to meet him. It's a promise!
