The Basics
Name: Put my first name and my second name's meaning together and you get something that sounds like an RPG spell... Rejuvenating Light! What? I don't want to use my real name. It's so freakishly old fashioned.
Age: 18
Describe the meaning or significance in your username: Well, I used to be called chainjail but I thought changing my LJ account might give me a fresh new start from old emo me. (Not that chainjail is an emo name, it's actually a name of one of Kurapika's Nen chains from Hunter x Hunter... the middle finger one *cough*). Now I'm freakishly random. Still, I took the name greyrook due to a (kinda) serious reason. I suck at chess, and rooks are the only piece I can associate with since they're gung-ho and straightforward. Then the color grey since I'm always stuck in the middle of things, and I don’t believe that there’s only one side to a story.. The number 22? Someone already had the username greyrook so I added part of my birth date.
Favorite color: Red, black and pink. I used to hate pink a lot since I’m not that girly, but after hanging out with some black wearing people for too long I needed a way to be unique, so I started wearing pink. At first it was to piss them off but it grew on me. Even my LJ is pink! PINK! Oh, and orange. I like orange too.
Do you give orders or simple follow what's given to you? I'm a follower who enjoys "suggesting" things. I sometimes unconsciously find myself as a leader though. ^^U
Is the glass half full or half empty? Whatever’s in there, I probably drunk it already. So now it's empty. Somebody pour more drinks in my glass please.
Your favourite drink is? COFFEE!!! ICED COFFEE!!! BLACK COFFEE!!! ICED BLACK COFFEE!!!
Smoking. Yes or no? No. Smoking made me sickly as a child. But I do like the smell, which is bad since inhaling second hand smoke is worse than actually smoking. (But for the love of God, don't smoke when there are kids around!)
Scraping the Surface
What are your interests? Anime, manga, videogames, history, mythology, weird things, animals
What are your pet peeves? the smell of testosterone (ugh, man smell), people who constantly have to assert themselves (also known as ego masturbation), beardos, people who assume that they know me well (I don’t even know myself so how the fuck do you know), people who dislike the situation but continue to watch in the sidelines, people who force other people to “respect” them even if their not that respectable, decisions being made that include me without me being part of the decision-making process, irresponsible parents, children who hate their parents (ungrateful brats), that annoying high-pitched sound that happens when you scrape Styrofoam little by little
What are your hobbies? Special talents? writing, drawing (when I'm bored, I'm not that good at it, or maybe its because I'm surrounded by really good artists), cosplaying (I don't think I have fans, and making the costume is more fun than the catwalk), singing, playing musical instruments (piano, violin, bamboo flute... not that I'm good any of them), sewing plushies, videogames!
Your strengths lie in… and why? I remember getting a call for a part-time job because a friend recommended me for being "determined and goal-oriented". (*scoff* I kicked him afterwards for recommending me without telling me...) I tend to speak my mind regardless of authority when I think I’m right(double-edged sword) and I "think outside the box" (psh... freakishly random is more like it). I dislike giving up, so I hardly do. I’m also protective of my friends/family. Hurt them and you’re dead. I may talk shit about my family a lot, but say something bad about them and they’ll find your corpse tied to a tree in the park with a mangled corpse of a dog beside it just to make it look more gruesome.
Your weaknesses are… and why? Most of my strengths are double edged. Determination also equals stubborness. I'm blunt about things. I am (sometimes unconsciously) manipulative. I act happy (enjoying myself too much) even when sometimes I’m not (emo emo emo... LOL). Norms? What social norms? I'm the type of person that's so sensitive that it borders on insensitivity. I think about things too much... thus I need to be random. I guess I'm shy in my own retarded way too. I do things sometimes just to piss people off, I hold grudges and I enjoy taking revenge for myself and for my friends. Oh, and violence! I have lots of weaknesses and little strengths, I think. The strengths just tend to be more obvious.
Digging a little Deeper
Who do you admire (whether it be fictitious or real life) and why? That would be my father, even if I never knew him since he died before I was born (that bastard!). Like me he jokes a lot (“If I shaved my beard I’d be so handsome the girls won’t be able to resist.”), and he's also a bit perverted (he kept grabbing my mom's ass when they went out for dates), but I seriously admire his charisma. He actually convinced a mugger not to steal his (Rolex) watch without getting stabbed. I also remember as a kid I attended the wake of one of his friends. When his friends found out that I was his daughter they all rushed to me, hugged me, and said that I could treat all of them as my parents, that I am the child of all of them and that my father was a great man. That event gave me some serious issues (how could it not give me issues? That was weird...), but my dad has to have serious charisma to make people I met (for the first time) do that just because they remember him. Or maybe they were all drunk... People tend to drink during wakes... O_o
What do you look for in a friend and why? Aside from the usual companionship and stuff? Someone who would help me find myself and who knows when to be with me and when to leave me alone.
If you were in a rock band, which position would you play and why? Singer? I have a wide range, from low to high-pitched (my flute teacher enjoyed having me sing more than having me play since I can sing the melody in the same pitch as his flute, and since can’t make a sound with the damn Noh flute), but I suck at transition. Still, I won’t turn down learning a musical instrument (violin gives me so much pain... must not give up... violin freakishly expensive... must not waste cash/effort used to buy it...). Besides, I’m bound to stand out no matter where you put me, I think.
How would your ideal room/apartment look like and why? My ideal apartment would be a studio type, or one with just one bedroom and a connecting kitchen/dining and living room. My idea of home is more like a home base. You wake up in the morning, grab some coffee and launch yourself towards a new day... or sleep the whole day... whatever works.
If you were a piece of jewelry what would you be and why? I’d be the chain that’s attached to your wallet and strapped to where you put your belt, because I want to be close to your money to keep your valuables safe. What do you mean that’s not a piece of jewelry?! Yes it is! I demand that it be considered jewelry!
From the Manga
Who is your favorite character and why? Naoki. I know at first you only look at him because he’s cute and he’s all happy-wappy and its fun to see him and Reira be random. It’s also fun to watch him annoy his band mates, Yasu and Hachi, I think he does it because he likes them. There seems to be no actual personality to Naoki and then you read his special chapter. That was probably the coolest story in NANA I have ever read, and not just because it showed TRAPNEST, Ren and Yasu as kids. Naoki you bastard... I LOVE YOU!!! “What I hate the most is seeing my youth go down the drain!” I just gotta love that line! *takes a deep breath after fangirling over Naoki* I also like Takumi (due to Naoki lacking screen time? *laughs*) I know he seems insensitive most of the time, and selfish, but I think that he sometimes does things the way he does because he believes that his decision would cause the least damage (it usually does) even if most of the damage goes to him and his reputation. Yasu’s really cool too. I think he’s the type of person I’d follow to the end of the world. Ok, not towards the end of the world, but you get the idea.
Who is your least favorite character and why? Ren, just because I've never found him to be that interesting. I don't have any real problems with him, though. I don’t think I hate anybody from NANA, not even the paparazzi.
Your favorite pairing? And why? That would have to be Hachi and Takumi. I used to dislike both of them, and found them to be really stupid when they started seeing each other. To make things worse, Hachi got pregnant. Then things got better... it seems that the two of them really do complement each other. Sure, Takumi has his selfish demands (and he’s a friggin’ rapist), and Hachi can be really selfish too (well, she can!). What makes their pairing amazing is that they’re both selfish people but they care about each other. I think Hachi would make a good mother, and despite what Takumi says, I think he’d make good dad. The fact that he acknowledges and hates how stupid his father was makes me think that he’d be cautious not to commit the same mistakes. I hope they have a happy family. *cough*Ichinose Satsuki*cough*
Your favorite relationship? And why? Shin and Ren! The yaoi fangirl in me burns whenever the two of them fool around. I know they’re not serious, that’s exactly why they’re here in the favorite relationship section rather than the favorite pair. Hey, wait, these two don’t know each other that much. And they’re already kissing! Oh shiii--- (If there’s a serious reason as to why I like these two, I haven’t found it yet.)

Anything else you'd like to add? I’m the type of person who’s random when she’s sober but silent (and decent?) when drunk. Takumi as a kid looks SO MUCH like Nana. They say I look serious when I'm sleepy (only when I'm sleepy) and that's probably the only time I look like that. Or when I'm pissed. That’s all. I think I already said too much already. ^^U I MAKE NO SENSE!!! WOOOHHH!!!! (obviously NOT drunk)
