do you think so? I love also the original version (I do really think xsparkage is a talented girl! I love her tutorials a lot, she uses colours in tons of different ways, I don't know where she takes all that inspiration but... she's awesome <3 *fan* ), but I tried to make my own version more wereable because after all Halloween is not something you can play with on a daily basis ^^
Plus this make up was born because I've got this pigment called Jade by NYX... a good dupe of the main green she used in the tutorial, a really hard colour to use because it's so pigmented and kinda neon... it's not a shade of green I use in my daily make up (I brought it because I like it and it was really cheap but of really good quality... with 1.5 $ I had pigments enough to fill a 10 gr jar...).

So your mother is interested in make up? maybe if you'll feel like trying something, you can think of buying an useful 88 (or 120) colours palette... they are really affordable, of good quality and with 10/15 dollars you can have a lot of colours, so even if you have a particular case like the prom, you'll have shades decent enought to complement your outfit!
Do you remember what shade you used that time?
To me green goes well with purples and browns the most. And blue too.
(for my last birthday I had a green and blue make up :D)

don't worry, it's awesome you try to read my journal even when I'm typing into Italian... I don't use to talk about make up in English because usually comments about make up are from Italian people... but I'm glad there is someone else interested in them :D
