I'm looking for a new place to live. Currently, I live in the backwoods known as Lockport, which wasn't a problem until I started classes again in December.
Most of my classes had been in the morning, but now most of my classes are set for the evening, not by choice. That means from 6-10PM at night. Problem is, the bus to Lockport doesn't run that late. It stops at 8 roughly.
An interesting note, though, is that bus only stops running to Lockport after 8PM. It still goes back and forth from the city until about midnight, stopping in a business park and doubling back. Stupid, yes. The Lockport bus stops going to Lockport after 8PM, like a damn curfew!
My priority now is the find a place within the route that still runs until midnight. I've tried carpooling with people in the past. However, people are stupid, do not know how to use a cell phone, or drop out and happen to mention this only after the term is over...can you tell I'm irritated?
Another reason is that I need a better job. I'm always doing temp stuff or one time jobs. I seriously need a reliable source of income. There aren't a great deal of jobs here, but I'm not picky right now. Moving closer to the city means reliable transport, i.e. I can apply for better paying jobs I can actually commute to. Most people work in factories or base offices for corporations here, but there are also a tone of job fairs done year round. That's where I'm betting my money, on recruiters and such from all over NY and the US coming to Buffalo.
I need to sort of rush the moving though......my lease expires at the end of February.
