Bizzare

Yesterday was... odd.

I had left my wallet at Dave's this past Saturday. I was to meet him for lunch, chat about game stuff, and reclaim lost wallet. Well, I was silly and stayed up way too late (and by way too late, I mean 9:30 am or so) reading. So, I set the alarm on my phone for noon and crashed.

I wake up at about 1:45 to a txt from Dave wondering where I am, as I am now 45 minutes late. Stupid phone, I curse, and rush off. I pull up to a stop sign and low and behold my old boss from the computer shop turns in front of me. Pull over, chat about things. He asks what I'm doing these days. "Nothing," I proclaim (well, I may have said something closer to "jack shit", but I can't remember exactly). He tells me he's doing contracting mostly, and could use some help. So, random employment FTW! Says he'll call me later with directions to the current job.

Continued onward, now *really* late. Stopped home, grabbed the tax return checks (yes! can afford con this weekend!), met Dave, who humorously left my wallet as his house. Somewhere in the middle of lunch my phone just... died. Totally. It failed to work ever again. Fought with Verizon for a while (long, boring story), came home 3 hours later than expected with a lost wallet filled with money the government owes me, a new job, and a cellphone that can apparently play MP3's (if only it worked on a Mac!).

Today, I busted up tile, tore off molding, and primed walls. It was honest work. This pleases me.
