SO BEAST :D
OCTOBER 16, 2011 -BEAST ANNIVERSARY POST
I was out the whole day, and could only type this up now.. inspired by all the anniversary posts I've been reading lately :D
So… Beast. It’s been two years since you’ve debuted, but only six months since I became a B2UTY. I mean,… I saw your debut MV and the perfs for Bad Girl, but I guess I was so into Suju at the time I kind of thought… “Okay, they’re alright… time for my regular viewing program. I’ve got a fic to finish”.
Yeah, I kind of blew you off. Even more so when my brothers first saw you guys and it was hate at first sight, comparing you guys to Big Bang (No clue as to why).
I don’t really know where 2010 went. All I remember is hearing Shock every time I opened the tv, plus you guys came to Manila for mall shows and GMA’s anniversary show. The only member I knew at the time was Yoseob, mainly because of the blond hair, and the fact that my brother said he was so weird-looking.
Feb 2011 came, and MTV aired the GDA. While my focus was entirely on another group, you won Best New Group, and then came out for your performance. It blew me away; Yoseob’s voice, in particular, was flawless. As a group, you guys now had my respect for being able to hold your own against everyone else.
May came, and I was bored from doing nothing. I started asking for fic recs and when I was asked which fandoms I read, I said Shinee, Big Bang. Surprisingly, I mentioned Beast. Several comment threads later, I found out that you were due for a comeback. I logged on to Youtube and played The Fact. It was different from the rocktronic sound I was so used to hearing from you. About an hour after that, I started reading fanfiction, getting hooked on JunSeob, then KiWoon. =))))) (I ship Original3 now though :DD)
A few days later, I looked all of you up again, and saw that your new MV was out. That’s when you guys made my jaw drop. I downloaded the whole album and… I sort of flailed at the whole thing. Yes Beast, you made me flail and almost hit my head K =)). It was like seeing something clearly for the first time, even if you’ve been around for awhile now.
By the end of May, I had learned all of your songs (I’m obsessive like that, LOL), learned your names (and personalities), and even started watching Beast Almighty. So yeah, it’s kind of a late attraction thing. You were such boys, with your randomness and goofball tendencies that it was hard not to like you. What I didn’t expect was for you to kill my entire bias list and shove my top band about half an inch to make room for yourselves at number 1. I don’t mind though. :D
Yoon Doojoon, you probably don’t have as many gray hairs as the other leaders, but thanks for taking care of your boys and derping it up along the way. Your Doopose is now legendary :D
Jang Hyunseung, you are so 4-D I don’t even know what to do with you =)). While I do admire your mad skills on the floor, I admire your passion and determination even more.
Yong Junhyung, you might look like the mayor of swagger town, but we all know you’re as big a dork as the rest of your bandmates :D, all while impressing everyone with your smooth rapping and lyrics.
Yang Yoseob, you make girls like me squeal (with your aegyo) and scream (with your perfect vocals), but we all know that those are just foils for your sharp wit and strong personality, you first bias you :DD
Lee Kikwang, please save my sanity and stop being so beautiful. Seriously, from the neck up you belong with my stuffed animals. >.< From the neck down, please allow me to chain you to my bed (I’m kidding!). You’re just so squishable and adorbs and oh-so precious BB, and yet you move like you own the floor. Don’t work yourself too hard! :)
Son Dongwoon, you are the biggest bias killer of them all (The fact that he’s gorgeous is a bonus, okay?) ! Gone are the days where people tell you that you just take up space and do nothing else. Sing. Show off your piano-playing skills (While your hyungs and I take care of said people with bats). Do your human calculator thing (sorry, couldn’t resist). You improved the most out of them all, and that’s why you’re my bias, maknae fail, bug phobia, and all. Please join Kwangie on the bed =))))))) (Again, kidding!)
