(no subject)
I have this thing against giving people money as a gift. It's like telling the person you were too lazy to actually go out and get them something, it's cheating. And well, that's what I had to do for Juls this year, unfortunately, because seriously, we're such polar opposites I have no idea what to get her. Ever.
But she, oh she, she got me something incredible. Now, you all know my obsession with Deep Forest, their music just, UGH. I love it. It's so enveloping, so surrounding. Unfortunately it's also a freakin' fortune because a) it's recorded in France, and b) the fan base in the US so small that very little of it gets here.
She got me Boheme.
Their first album, incredible. Now yes, I'll admit it, when you first listen to their music it's like listening to dying cats who may or may not happen to be in heat at the same time. But the second run through, it's like.... bliss. The beats. The vocals. The chills. I pretty much tackled her to the ground while squeaking like a fangirl despite the fact that she's sick.
She also got me a Happy Bunny book. And I'm not a big Happy Bunny fan, but it is witty sometimes- in addition to being sardonic and slightly sadistic. I just can't stand the people who wear Happy Bunny or sport Happy Bunny when Happy Bunny doesn't suit them, or is opposite of them, or just doesn't make sense to them. It bothers me, but that aside, I feel like a bit of a jerk right now. I mean, I give her truffles and some cash and she goes out and gets me this INCREDIBLY AWESOME gift that is sodding WONDERFUL in every way.
I mean, what do I say to that, it's just makes me feel guilty.

Well anyway, that aside I feel it fit to let you all know I will be on a bit of a hiatus from the computer and such until Wednesday. My reasons for tonight and tomorrow should be painfully obvious to you but Mon-Thurs might not. I'm going skiing, up in the Catskills, Belleayre to be exact, with the immediates.
Much fun.
So til then- happy holidays and I love you duckies bunches and I will miss you dearly and maybe you too will find enough motivation to get off you lazy butts and away from the computer to spend time with the relatives and such and such.
