Back to school, just barely at a decent hour...
My vacation was very full. The first week I spent travelling with my family doing silly tourist-sort of activities. My mother was very insistent and I think everyone enjoyed themselves. I also managed to spend a little time with friends.
Then the second week I decided to travel. The first place that came to mind was Italy and since my mentor was so kind as to allow me to use his private jet, off I went... I actually ended up running into him. It was unexpected, I hadn't intended on meeting him at all. However, because of that, I really had a lot of fun, much more than I had initially anticipated. It was silly of me to try and avoid him.
I'd like to go back to the races. I managed to win a good sum of money that I'm going to put straight into the foundation. Still, odds and whatnot don't make sense to me. It's probably something I'll never entirely understand. We managed to get a fight in, among other activities...
Oh, and Lent was 25% successful. I have a friend that I hurt deeply for not taking it seriously enough and I regret disappointing him. There probably isn't anything I can do to make it up to him because he's so stubborn but I'd like to try.
Arguably, the one thing I gave up for Lent that I managed to keep away from was the most important of the four. I feel I can allow myself to be a tad bit proud, but only that small amount considering I failed the rest of it.
My resolve has wavered in the past year or two but I think I may finally be returning to my old, stronger self.
Tuesday can't come soon enough.
