Prove Something Already, Damn It

'S been a while since I've been back, but I have to ask y'all, my fellow long-time remnant LJ-ers, a question...

DID OR DID NOT 楊淑君 CHEAT?!!
When I first saw the news I was pretty ticked myself, absolutely. After I read news from Taiwanese, Chinese, American sites, and watched the video though, they DID in fact take out two extra pieces of sensors, right??? The official explanation that 楊淑君 could easily have added them even after pre-match screenings is quite reasonable, no? Whether she has or has not reason to cheat can be used to support the claim but it can't be used as reasoning alone right? Personally I think she and her team made an unintentional mistake. If she did in fact pass a second pre-screening after changing her socks, why does the TW team not take out the signed form as proof?

I feel like the Taiwanese media is focusing too much on local sentiment and conspiracy theories. The theories are understandable, but they don't provide any objective, factual evidence to defend the athlete. One more thing, sources say that  "而2009年中華台北隊曾花5萬美元,購買了40雙新款腳套,放著新款不用,為什麼還要繼續使用舊款?" If this is indeed fact, is her using outdated socks not a bit fishy? If she did cheat, I'm angry at her and the team. If she didn't, I'm angry that they aren't providing more evidence.

Let me know what you guys think.
