You prefer TV being on TV because your TV is bigger than your monitor. My monitor is bigger than any TV I've ever owned. Hence, I would prefer to watch TV on PC.

Bell is taking the most heat. They're battling it out in the courts at the moment (at least that's what I read).

Downloading Ubuntu by torrent has got to be the silliest idea yet. It's a relatively small download and chances are there is a mirror host near you that will provide it faster than torrents. Plus, if you already run ubuntu, as you claim, you know that all you have to do is run:

sudo update-manager -c

And then you click the upgrade button. Or, since Gutsy already checks for a new official version on boot (and whenever a cron job says to), it should theoretically be possible to just to wait until it tells you that there is a new version. The benefits of installing fresh from a disc are few indeed. One of the reasons to use a Debian-based distribution is to download all updates as they happen. There is no need to download a whole new CD. Just upgrade yourself and order a new FREE disc when it comes out.

8.04 Hardy Heron will be LTS, which makes me happy. I tried the kernel out a while ago. It was snazzy and faster than Gutsy. I'm thinking of upgrading to the beta early, like I did with Edgy and Gutsy.
