So, I realized that considering Natsume's situation with his spirit-seeing abilities and whatnot, and I was like "Okay well some people have them and some people don't but I don't really know all the people who do/don't so I might as well make this clear."

What manner of invisible creatures are in their world? EVERYTHING FROM URAMI TO AKUMA TO ONI TO MONONOKE TO AYAKASHI TO KAMI TO KAMIYOANAYO TO KOTOAMATSUKAMI. Basically: all of Japanese mythology. All of it.
Is Natsume allowed to see them? The good/bad spirits, I have no doubt he can, but….
If yes, are there specific instances where he wouldn't be able to? …as for how he perceives the kami, check out this post because it’s more of Shinto-spirituality requirement rather than a supernatural-level-of-power to see them.

What manner of invisible creatures are in their world? Canonically noonnne? But I’d have no problem if he might see some. Her world’s very ‘dead’. I wouldn’t put him past him to notice a dead something from long ago chilling in the background of a video, should they ever meet on the comm.
Is Natsume allowed to see them? If there are, of course! As for DM, he’ll sense that there’s something off about her, like she’s not fully there or something.
If yes, are there specific instances where he wouldn't be able to? No.
Anything else I should know? There are humans in the world of BRS, and then there are beings like Dead Master, which are known as ‘Otherselves’. They’re all shadowy-like and incredibly powerful and blah blah blah I swear these girls are really Mary Sue sometimes, and DM’s scythe has the ‘can cut though the ‘essence’ of anything’ going on. I believe she’d be a 2, given the nature of her kind not being human and all.

I'm trying to think about this for Amaterasu and such and I think Natsume would probably fluctuate between seeing the red stripes and the divine instrument, depending on his canon point (he becomes much more stable the later in his canon he is, as a whole). Is that okay?

Also. Amaterasu and Nyanko-sensei (in his big form) look like they could be cousins. Just sayin'.

Yeah that's fine for Dead Master though. Generally the non-humans tend to have a bit higher spiritual ability, so I think that would be a good level for her. He will totally freak out about stuff in the background on occasion if they ever talk though. Totally.

Meant to tell you this sooner, but I'm starting to incorporate more of the manga into the mix because it gives more information about the world. The Otherworld is actually called 'Hazama' or 'Threshold', as is a Limbo whose areas are constructed by the dead souls of bad or vengeance-driven people that wind up there. DM and co. aren't part of the dead, but actually like reapers ('janitors', as one character describes them) that make sure the dead will eventually just...move on already, especially when their souls start breaking down and corrupting. (Mayybee part of the reason she's not speaking to Yuri ;.; b/c she doesn't want to be like 'i want to kill you now'.)
