For the most part. There's still a few things that are tripping me up.

The way people get affected by whatever's going on at the time. I mean, is there a set pattern or something? Do some people get affected over and over? Do some never get affected?

The pattern is completely sporadic as far as I'm aware. And as for whom it targets, Jim and me got turned into pointy-eared bastard one month, while we're both unaffected by the one this time around.

[He gestures to her journal.]

Only thing useful about those damn things is doing a survey and asking people themselves.

[she frowns, wondering who he means - max is pretty ignorant when it comes to pop culture - and then sets the journal aside.]

Or maybe they want documentation of how we're reacting to it all, but damned if I'm gonna write down my thoughts and feelings where everyone can read them.

There are filters you can use. But I would avoid making any plans on throwing yourself at the barrier... the Malnosso probably monitor everything we record in them.

Comes with being a soldier. Also, there's not a whole lot of opportunities to dress up back where I'm from.
