"House rule number one: no one talks about House rules... wait, that's not it," the scruffy and unkempt doctor paced the floor, his fellows sitting in their stainless steel chairs. "Okay, no, House rule number one-" eyes on Thirteen, "-complete a background check!"

"It wasn't my fault he's a pathological liar," Thirteen bites back. She's only Thirteen when she's at work. Only then. She doesn't have to be herself... or can at least be a different version of herself.

House glances over, making a face before both hands slam down on the table, "Everybody. Lies." She opens her mouth to protest, but he interjects. "Oh no, it's fine. We only destroyed his kidneys. I'm sure the patient didn't need those, but, in light of the events, I'm really here for an intervention. We've noticed," he turns on the faux sympathetic voice, "you've been rather tense."

Chase snorts and pretends to cough. Thirteen glares. Foreman looks bored, she notices and Taub is preoccupied by his phone, but she knows all too well that they are paying close attention now.

"See, over the past couple weeks, you've been-"

"-a bitch," Chase says it, but doesn't look up. Thirteen glares, again.

"So, I've come up with a way to relieve that tension," the grin on House's face told her horrible, horrible things. He pauses, looks happily out the window of the office, "never mind! Tech support's here."

Thirteen's eyes widen as she sees a very familiar silhouette walk through the hall. "...shit," she buries her face in her hands, elbows on the table.

House opens the door for the man, "Ah! Rick of that one tech support company with a suspiciously favorite phone number of Thirteen's. Glad you could make it."

Thirteen looked up at Rick, then to House. "Give me my phone records backs," she demands. Now all the others in the room are looking very, very interested.
