An explosion.
Then two boys, in the snow.
"We'll do it together this time, okay? It'll work for sure!" The brown-haired boy sighs and shakes his head before turning to walk away. The smaller boy chases after him, running, but no matter how fast he runs, he doesn't ever catch up. Instead he watches from afar as the other boy changes, drifting farther and farther away from him as he seems to age. Before long he's drifted away completely, chatting happily with a blond man. The smaller boy turns from the scene, running fast the other way. But after a time he turns back to his friend, returning to him. They're older now, yet the brunette still regards him with the same cold, calculating stare as he did as a child before turning away from him.
"You'd really abandon me, your friend...?" The concept confuses the white-haired man; all he wanted was recognition, to fulfill their promise. Would he really leave him behind after all they'd been through?
The other stopped, looking back at him once more. "You need to stop clinging to your past. Although..." -the man stopped and smiled, that infuriating smile he always seemed to have on his face - "I suppose I can't really expect that from you, Runny."
"How dare you call me that! I'm an elegant Rose!"
The man just laughs.
