I just had my first Reiki attunement on Sunday. For you who don't know... Reiki is a form of energetic healing, focusing on balancing the energy in the body. This is done by the practitioner channeling universal Qi (energy) into the body like a conduit... or like a garden hose. In order to do this correctly and successfully, the practitioner has to go through a series of attunements, which are meditations done in order for the practitioner to be able to "tap into" the universal Qi. There are three attunements.
After the first attunement, the new practitioner can heal with hands on the patients body. After the second attunement, practitioner can heal with hands off the body, and even heal from a distance. After the third attunement, the practitioner will be a "Master" and will be able to teach others.
The basis of Reiki is to pump Qi into the body, which will do what it needs to in order to create a healing response within the body. In oriental medicine, disease and pain are due to blockages and imbalances in the body. What Reiki will do is help remove the blockages and imbalances.
What's really interesting about Reiki is that it changes the practitioner as well. During the attunements, you're brought up to a higher vibrational frequency with the help of your master. This means that you start being sensitive to energy. Pure energy. And the effects of it are extraordinary.
As I mentioned earlier, I had my first Reiki attunement... and my vibrational rate was so high after that I felt dizzy, I had to go home. My Reiki master told me that for the next 21 days I will be emotional/spiritually/physically purging things that I don't necessarily need in life... so I will have symptoms of cold/flu, diarrhea, changes of diet, headaches and most of all vivid dreams.
And lemme tellya, my dreams have been very vivid. Lots of death, perverted sex, sexual content and all sorts of scary and disturbing things. But apparently those dreams are basically my purging. I don't believe I have a perverted sense of sexuality nor death... but something's purging.
Apparently my life is supposed to change too... people who need the healing are going to naturally come to me at a higher frequency. My world is gonna start to change.
It's pretty intense.
